Edge vs Seth Rollins
The opportunists, just 1 year apart from encountering one another. After Edge retired in 2011, Seth Rollins quickly took a spot on the main WWE roster. What could have happened if these two would have encountered each other? And that are the chances of The Rated-R Entourage vs The Shield? The dream match rivalry of The Architect vs The Ultimate Opportunist is one that will forever be a mystery.
1998 Adam Copeland became known as Edge. Edge and Christian Cage (his childhood friend) wrestled on the indies and made their way to WWF together.
2005-2006 At WrestleMania 21, Edge won the first ever Money in the Bank ladder match, gaining a contract that gave him a shot at the World Heavyweight championship. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins made his debut on the indies as “Tyler Black“. later in 2006, Edge became a WWE Champion for the first time.
2007 Tyler Black made his ROH debut with Jimmy Jacobs and Necro Butcher. The three would form a stable called The Age of the Fall. Edge meanwhile after being taken out of the 2nd Money in The Bank ladder match, came back to challenge the MITB winner for his briefcase. Edge took advantage of a shoulder injury and became the first person to gain the Money in the Bank contract twice and the first not to do so in the ladder match. Edge would debut The Major Brothers (Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder) as his fans and team mates.
2010 Tyler Black signed a developmental contract with WWE and was assigned to FCW in September. Tyler Black was offered contracts from TNA and ROH, but Evan Bourne convinced him to join WWE. Tyler Black became “Seth Rollins” in FCW.
2011 By 2011, Edge became the World Champion for the 11th time. Edge successfully defended the World Title at WrestleMania XXVII (2011) and on April 11th episode of Raw, Edge gave an emotional speech about his career and the realities of wrestling. He reflected upon his previous neck injury and cervical vertebral fusion, and stated that he had felt numbness in his arms. He passed basic-strength tests prior to WrestleMania, but WWE had urged him for further testing and an MRI result forced him to retire. This was diagnosed as cervical spinal stenosis, and doctors would not clear him to compete, for risk of neck-down paralysis or even death should he take a hard enough fall. Edge officially relinquished the World Heavyweight Championship, retiring as the World Champion in the process of recapping his announcement and expressing gratitude over this happening now rather than it being too late. Edge retired on-top and as an 11-time World Heavyweight, and 14-time tag team champion.
2012 In June, WWE rebranded FCW into NXT and Seth Rollins went to the top. By November, Rollins made his main roster debut with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns as “The Shield“. Seth Rollins would become known as The Architect of the trio.
2014-2015 Seth Rollins won his first Money in the Bank ladder match. Later on at WrestleMania 31 (2015), Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. This made Rollins the first man to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania and during title match. Shortly after Rollins’ grand WrestleMania moment, WWE’s youtube channel uploaded a video entitled “Edge vs Seth Rollins: Fantasy Match-Up“.
2020 Edge surprised the world by making his WWE wrestling career return at Royal Rumble!

Who would win this rivalry?
Can it happen?
Given just a 1 year difference between Edge retiring and Rollins coming up to the main roster and main event.. Rollins and Edge never faced each other. But now Edge is back! This match most certainly isn’t far away..
