Scott Steiner shoots on WWE, Stephanie McMahon reveals the reason behind WWE’s success

During a recent interview with WhatCulture Wrestling (video above), former WWE superstar Scott Steiner made some strong remarks about the company. Steiner hasn’t exactly been shy in voicing his opinions over the last few years, especially when it comes to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and it seems as if that isn’t going to change any time soon.

The 2 times I was up there I thought about quitting. Yeah, f***ing weirdos man. The bullshit you have to deal with now — now it’s worse because you’ve got one of the biggest c**ts running it, you know?”

“Stephanie McMahon, what the f*** does she know about wrestling? Just because… and then Triple H… f***… are you f***ing kidding me? I feel bad for the wrestlers, you know? Because they pigeonholed them in these stupid characters and make everybody do the same interviews that they print out. You can’t expand or be creative. It’s not what my picture of wrestling is. People say they sell it like this it’s the squared circle, they proved it — it’s bulls***.

Stephanie McMahon Reveals The Reason Behind WWE’s Success

Stephanie McMahon was among the featured speakers today at the SportsBusiness Journal’s 2018 SBJ Game Changers Conference in New York City, a one-day event focused on the multiple ways in which women intersect with sports. During a discussion panel called “Ideas That Move Us Forward: Storytelling In Sports Business,” Stephanie revealed the reason behind WWE’s success.

“We’re successful for one reason only: We listened to our audience,” Stephanie said.

Stephanie also said the audience is the catalyst behind the rise of women in WWE.

“It’s about doing, not just talking. You have to listen to your audience. Their voice matters,” Stephanie said.

Afterward, Stephanie thanked the SportsBusiness Journal for the opportunity to speak at the conference.

Thank you @sbjsbd for the opportunity to be a part of the #GameChangers conference alongside women and men who are making a difference for women’s equality in sports! #SBJGC

Mary Ellen Curran, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Community Relations, was also honored at the conference.

Congratulations to @WWE’s Mary Ellen Curran (SVP, Community Relations), who was honored this afternoon as a 2018 @sbjsbd Game Changer. #sbjgc @WWECommunity
